3 Reasons Kevin Jonas Deserves Your Love

It’s finally time. Last post I proposed the unorthodox idea that Kevin Jonas is the greatest Jonas brother. Now I will prove this point by providing three reasons why you should fully appreciate the oldest Jonas. So I ask that you open your hearts and minds and give Kevin the praise he deserves:

1. Kevin’s Talents are Multifaceted

After the band split in 2013, each brother decided to take different routes. Kevin took time away from the fame to pursue a career as a contractor for JonasWerner as well as become an entrepreneur. He worked as the Co-CEO of Blu Market, a company that aided influencers in gaining followers to jumpstart their career. His success as a businessman and his transition to normal life is impressive and respectable, especially for a former superstar. Kevin was even featured in Forbes magazine highlighting is entrepreneurship. As a bonus, he is an avid fan of Jeopardy, which demonstrates his appreciation for cerebrally challenging activities. His flexibility to explore dreams outside of music show his range of interests and sets him apart from his other brothers.

2. He’s Down to Earth

After watching several interviews with the Jonas Brothers, you cannot deny the calm presence that Kevin brings to the group. He isn’t loud or overbearing, but he directs the conversations with his wise and kind words. He is very humble and proves to have a very witty and clever sense of humor (For reference check out the Jonas Brothers on James Corden). Kevin doesn’t ask for the spotlight, so he is perfectly happy to let his brothers take the lead. This ability to step back and give others credibility is what makes his persona so generous and soothing. Unfortunately this admirable trait is often underappreciated, but ultimately it gives him the respectable capability to lead by example. Even Joe states his ability as a leader in the end of the documentary, Chasing Happiness, when he mentions Kevin’s evolution from brother, to husband, to father. Which leads me to my next point.

3. Kevin is a Family Man

This is Kevin’s most defining difference from the rest of his brothers. Although they are all married, Kevin is the only father of the group. If you have followed him at all on social media, then you can tell that he takes this job very seriously. When the rest of the brothers continued to pursue music after the break, he took the extra time to build and bond with his family. Now with being on the road again, Kevin has to balance his family life with the renewed star life. This struggle is expressed in the last song of the album (and one of my favorites) written by Kevin and titled “Comeback.” Joe even mentioned in an interview with Elvis Duran that Kevin brought a lot of heart and insight into writing each song because of his experience as a father of two.

In conclusion, Kevin is the Jonas brother that we didn’t know we needed until now. The brothers acknowledge that a lot of their fan base has grown up with them. And as a fan base, our needs in a partner have grown up and developed as well. As kids we preferred Nick or Joe Jonas mostly because they were cute, but now we are mature and have the dream of settling down and having a family of our own. Of course this takes more than just the superficial attraction of being “cute.” With Kevin as a down to earth family man who has a variety of talents, he emulates the very idea of an ideal long term partner. He is the Jonas that we didn’t want as kids, but now need as adults.
